The energetic media mogul and author of Thrive frequently circles the globe (she's launching HuffPo in India, the Middle East, and her native Greece later this fall) but packs her own plane food, famously swears by eight hours of sleep, and refuses to check e-mail until after her morning meditation.

DIET "My eating habits are simple: I much prefer grilled fish and vegetables over fine cuisines with complicated sauces. I find it easier to eliminate certain food groups than to only have one bite here or there, so I gave up refined sugar years ago. I don't miss it at all."BREAKFAST: "During the week my mornings consist of two cappuccinos with almond, soy, or coconut milk from La Colombe. I don't get hungry for breakfast, but when I know I won't have time for lunch, I'll eat two poached eggs. My favorite meal is weekend brunch; I'll order an egg-white omelet with goat cheese at the Mercer Kitchen in New York." LUNCH: "I love a big salad with tons of radicchio, arugula, and iceberg lettuce and protein—salmon, chicken, or eggs—and Greek olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Sometimes I'll have grilled fish and vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, snap peas, and asparagus that I prepare myself or order from Balthazar."DINNER: "When I go out I normally order grilled fish, vegetables, and a salad from ABC Kitchen or Cherche Midi in New York and Toscana in Los Angeles. I rarely drink alcohol. I may have a glass of red wine with a meal on vacation, but I know nothing about wine, so I'll only drink something recommended to me." SNACKS: "Hazelnuts from Juice Press; baby carrots; fruit salad with blueberries, papaya, and mangoes; or goat cheese." SPLURGES: "Cheese, cappuccino, and the occasional fabulous dessert." VITAMINS: "I take fish oil, vitamin D, and Chinese herbs to boost my immune system when I'm traveling."

FITNESS "I start my day by drinking hot water with lemon and doing 20 to 30 minutes of breathing meditation. After that I jump on my stationary bike for 30 minutes while I check e-mail on my iPhone. I finish up with 10 minutes of yoga stretches. Three times a week I also have a trainer either in New York or L.A., and we lift weights."

SKIN CARE "I'm 64 years old, and I've never had Botox, fillers, or plastic surgery, but I do believe in great maintenance. I see aesthetician Mila Moursi for facials or microdermabrasion every three weeks. She specializes in women who don't want to have plastic surgery. I'm a big believer in thoroughly cleansing my skin. I use Mila's Cleansing Milk [$75], Cleansing Foam [$70], Cleansing Toner [$70], Rejuvenating Serum [$365], and Refining Lotion [$160] to remove every scrap of makeup before I go to bed. The most important beauty decision of my day is getting eight hours of sleep. It changes how I feel and how I look."

MAKEUP "During the day I wear Lancôme Hypnôse Mascara [$28.50], Eve Pearl Au Natural eye palette [$40], and either Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment [$22.50] or Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey [$16]. I never wear makeup on airplanes because I think it's important to let my skin breathe. In the evening I add Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation [$62], Eve Pearl Blush Trio [$36], Make Up for Ever Aqua Eyes in Light Brown [$19], and Nars Velvet lip pencil in Bahama. I get my nails done once a week and a pedicure once a month. I always wear pale Essie colors on my nails because I really dislike chipped polish."

HAIR "I have very thick, curly, Greek hair that is well behaved as long as it's conditioned. I wash it every couple of days with Living Proof No Frizz Shampoo and Conditioner [$24 each] and have it blown dry by hairstylists Ryan Cotton or Mirian Lima. If it's a humid day, I may flat-iron the bottom, but when I'm on vacation I let it go natural. Chris Mc-Millan cuts my hair at his salon every three months, and I see Nidia Duenas for base color and highlights while I'm there."

BODY "A long bath with Epsom salts, Fresh body cleansers, and a Le Labo candle are part of my nightly routine before bed. When I'm on vacation I love a body wrap, but once a week my massage therapist, Joan Witkowski, combines deep-tissue massage with deep breathing. I've tried to change my scent many times over the years, but I always return to Hermès 24, Faubourg—it's my must-have that I wear every day."
