"So many people don't like these but I'm OBSESSED," one Instagram fan commented. Another added, "My best friend and I wore these to the Eras Tour in London and they are awesome! They don't budge even after dancing for three-plus hours."
Others, however, aren't vibing with the look: "Not a fan of the glitter freckles," reads one comment. "In certain light and angles, it just looks like she got microneedling dried blood on her face that she forgot to wipe off." Oh!
As a professional beauty editor, I think the golden glitter freckles are fun—pure and simple. Makeup should be playful, and we hold celebrities like Swift to impossibly high standards that don't always allow room for experimentation. It's a football game, not the Oscars! It's also endearing to know that Swift was probably served a targeted ad for these on TikTok or Instagram and couldn't resist trying them for herself. I've been there too.
