Hi, spring! Now that warmer weather is on the horizon, it's time to rethink your seasonal manicure and pedicure shades. While oxblood and navy blue polish will always hold a place in my heart, I'm taking a cue from the runway and following some of the best spring 2024 nail trends. From a bedazzled take on mirror chrome nails to ballet-inspired pink polishes, each look in our list below deserves a place in your beauty rotation. Read on for a cheat sheet of the most coveted styles for spring.

Bazaar editors noted the chrome nail trend last spring, and in 2024, it’s back—with an edge. At the LaPointe runway show, celebrity artist Naomi Yasuda bedazzled models’ silver nails with gems on both their thumbs and ring fingers.

The metallic nails at PatBO were accented with more delicate details, featuring hints of lace and other textures. “The nail looks for PatBO were inspired by the love of Patricia’s embroidery school in Brazil,” celebrity nail artist and Kiss brand ambassador Gina Edwards says of this season’s styles. “We incorporated the lace and embroidered fabric onto the nail, adding real lace and crystals for the first look. The second look is a 2-D textured pattern.”

MAC Nail Adornment/Aute Cuture Starring Rosalía
Choose between simple gems or stones with a pop of color with this adornment kit created by MAC and singer Rosalía. Not only is no glue required to put them on, the stickers are also reusable.

For a more playful take on the traditional French manicure, Sundays Studio ditched white tips at Alice + Olivia and opted for a pop of color instead. “French manicures will always be a classic look—we just wanted to add a bit of a twist to it,” says Sundays Studio CEO and founder Amy Ling Lin.

3D chrome accents elevated the modern French styles seen at Prabal Gurung. “The details on the tips added a free-spirited design, which correlates to the storyline of a businesswoman traveling in Mumbai meeting the love of her life,” artist Edwards notes.
In addition to coral, red, black, and classic white, nouveau French manicures at Alice + Olivia also featured this pastel yellow shade.

Balletcore
Balletcore nail looks for spring and summer were subtle and sophisticated at the Mirror Palais show. “The inspiration for the nails this season is the classic ballet slipper,” says lead nail artist Leanne Woodley. “We went with different pinks and champagnes from CND depending on skin tones, and finished with a light layer of chrome finish to elevate the nail look. Mirror Palais is very beautiful, sexy, and elegant, so we wanted to do something that would oomph it up and complement the gorgeous collection.”

Short nails are officially back and more elegant than ever. At Christian Siriano, models wore theirs with ballet-pink manicures and pedicures, courtesy of Essie and celebrity manicurist Julie Kandalec.
Kandalec first applied this creamy shade as the base layer for nails at Christian Siriano’s Spring/Summer ’24 runway show. She then topped it with one coat of Essie’s Birthday Girl for the perfect pink finish.
Minimal Manis
Nail art at Jason Wu was kept simple yet impactful for the upcoming spring season. Celebrity artist Jin Soon Choi curated a series of alternating black dots and lines over a clear base for each model walking the show.

Clean-cut manicures echoed the whimsical and feminine aesthetic of Sandy Liang’s ’24 runway show. Artist Holly Falcone used Kiki World’s Pretty Nail Graffiti polish in pearl as a base for an effortless look, accented with delicate bows or gems.
