Turns out we don't have to wait 'til next weekend's Grammys for a new Megan Thee Stallion red-carpet look.
The "Sweetest Pie" rapper showed up on the Academy Awards red carpet in a look that's feminine, soft, and diva striking at the same time. Her slate-blue strapless gown by Indian designer Gaurav Gupta, embellished with stripes of sequins, featured a side cutout at the torso, a leg-baring slit, and a skirt that flowed out in structured waves.
She completed the look with matching blue sandals and diamond and sapphire jewelry, and wore her hair styled in a low bun.
While we're loving this look on the "Savage" rapper, we also can't help but wonder what brings our favorite hot girl to the Oscars this year.
The superstar was actually tapped to perform at this year's ceremony, joining the highly anticipated performance of the most popular Disney song ever, "We Don't Talk About Bruno," from Encanto. Per TV Line, she'll be joined by the film's stars Adassa (who voiced Dolores), Stephanie Beatriz (Mirabel), Mauro Castillo (Felix), Carolina Gaitan (Pepa), and Diane Guerrero (Isabela), as well as rapper Becky G and "Despacito" singer Luis Fonsi.
While "Bruno" isn't actually nominated for Best Original Song—the Spanish-language ballad "Dos Oruguitas" received that honor—the Academy couldn't let the night go by without a performance of the most popular soundtrack song of the year. We're happy to see Meg join in for her first-ever Oscars performance.
