Julia Fox Officially Declares That Capris Are In for 2024

While celebrating the new year in Miami, the Uncut Gems actor made a head-turning appearance with her daring outfit—which featured a daring pair of capris as the centerpiece. The unique bottoms were nearly entirely covered in a bold mustard-yellow and graphite-gray illustration, and also included maroon and white stripes running down the sides. Fox color-coordinated via a distressed gray corset with two white racer stripes down the center of the bust and a cropped leather moto jacket in a pale yellow.

She upped the ante with the rest of her ensemble’s elements: embellished beige pumps from a Jimmy Choo and Jean Paul Gaultier collaboration and a coordinating sand-colored bag.

Fox’s New Year’s Eve party look was relatively low-key, compared to some of her most viral street-style moments in 2023. (Honorable mentions include a minidress seemingly sculpted out of hair, a gauzy see-through clown costume, and even a dry-cleaning garment bag worn as a necklace.) Knowing her, however, we’re sure to get some more eye-popping fashion moments in the coming year.

Fox opened up about her experimental sense of style in a 2022 interview with the Cut. “[My publicity team was] like, ‘Oh, they’re a little too editorial,’ ‘It’s too sexy. It’s too provocative. It’s too out there,’” she said. “I was just like, ‘Okay, I guess I just have to be more Hollywood and more bland.’ But fuck that narrative if I want to pop out and wear crazy shit—which is what I want to wear.”
