Whether you were at the beach, on the farm, or on the busy streets of the city, last summer was all about white maxi skirts. And, if Jennifer Lawrence’s latest outing is any indication, the staple is coming back this year.
On Easter Weekend, the No Hard Feelings star stepped out in New York City with baby Cy in the perfect off-duty look for that awkward period between winter and spring—when you’re not quite ready to put away your coat, but you also aren’t going to leave the house in a T-shirt.
At its core, J.Law’s outfit consisted of a cozy navy blue sweater with a slouchy mock neck from the Row—a classic preppy wardrobe staple—layered over a crisp white maxi skirt, also seemingly from the Row, one of the actor’s go-to brands. Lawrence finished the look with another staple: Adidas’s light gray Samba sneakers. The actor accessorized only with black hexagonal shades with yellow-tinted lenses, by Versace, and hung her brown wool coat and trusty navy New York Yankees cap over her son’s stroller.
Both on and off the red carpet, Lawrence gravitates toward classic, luxurious pieces. Last month, she elevated a casual errand-run outfit with a gray scarf, which she tied around her head like a babushka. And in January, she was seen grabbing dinner in West Hollywood with husband Cooke Maroney and friend Emma Stone, while in a look composed of ’90s-esque Bottega Veneta pieces.
