Elle Fanning is going strong with Rolling Stone magazine CEO Gus Wenner. The two began dating late last year, seven months after the actor ended her five-year relationship with fellow actor Max Minghella.

“But I’m a hopeless romantic. I believe in love at first sight. Call me crazy, but I believe in those things. I feel that it’s my destiny,” she told Harper’s Bazaar U.K. in April.

January 1, 2025: They ring in the new year in the snow.

Fanning and Wenner join a list of celebrities who migrated to the snowy mountains (most to Aspen, Colorado), to ring in 2025. In an Instagram photo dump, the actor shares photos of her and Wenner skiing in coordinating elegant winter looks—her outfit a royal blue and his a blueish gray. She also includes a photo of them kissing on New Year’s Eve, plus other cute selfies and a clip of them in the slopes.

“⛷️ing into 2025,” Fanning writes in the caption.

November 22, 2024: Elle and Gus attend a Rolling Stone event together.

August 10, 2024: Elle shares sweet photos of herself and Gus for his birthday.

Fanning shares a simple yet loving tribute to her boyfriend on his 34th birthday, which falls on August 10, via an Instagram post. In it, she includes a photo of them cozying up during a beach vacation, as well as a snap of their hands intertwined against the blue sky. Fanning seems to wear a strappy white halterneck dress, wet beach hair, and no makeup, while Wenner wears teal swim trunks and a gold necklace. “Happy Birthday angel🪽❤️‍🔥🌊,” Fanning captions the post.

May 6, 2024: They make their Met Gala debut.

The two walk the carpet together for fashion’s biggest night and look so in love as they pose for photos. Fanning—in her glassy, sculptural Balmain gown—cannot stop laughing as she walks with her boyfriend, who looks dapper in a classic black tux.

April 22, 2024: They go on a courtside date.

Fanning and Wenner show off their courtside style at Madison Square Garden, watching the New York Knicks play the Philadelphia 76ers. She wears a white top, blue jeans, a black leather jacket, and a navy Knicks hat, while he wears a long-sleeved blue-gray top, blue jeans, and a tan Knicks hat.

April 9, 2024: Gus wishes Elle a happy birthday.

On Instagram, the businessman shares a candid selfie of the two of them at the beach, looking happy and relaxed. Fanning even wears a Rolling Stone hat in honor of Wenner. “Happy birthday to my 💙,” he writes in the caption. “My sweet baby,” she comments.

February 14, 2024: Elle gushes about her man on Valentine’s Day.

The two celebrate the day of love for the first time as an official couple. The star of The Great shares a photo of Wenner lounging on a boat in a gray tee, jeans, sneakers, and black shades. “My funny Valentine🏹💕🙈,” she writes in the Instagram post caption.

January 10, 2024: Gus posts Elle on main.

Three days after displaying their love at the Golden Globes, Wenner shares an Instagram carousel of dreamy photos with Fanning from the special night. “Sunday night at the golden globes 💜,” he captions the post. Fanning comments with a red heart emoji.

January 7, 2024: They hard-launch their relationship at the Golden Globes.

It’s official! Wenner accompanies his girlfriend to the 2024 Golden Globes, where she looks ethereal in a vintage ivory Pierre Balmain dress, while he looks dapper in a classic tux.

Later in the evening, they’re spotted looking loved-up at an after-party, for which Fanning has changed into a chic black slipdress by Helsa with a white rosette appliqué.

November 4, 2023: They’re spotted holding hands.

Following rumors of romance between them, the couple is spotted for the first time holding hands on a date night in New York City. They’re photographed eating dinner with singer Lorde, actor Annabelle Dexter-Jones, and Wenner’s brother, visual artist Theo Wenner, at West Village hot spot the Waverly Inn. They later go out for drinks at Corner Bistro.
