Rihanna Is the Belle of the Ball in an Icy Blue Fur Dress

It isn’t really a fashion party until Rihanna arrives.

The multi-hyphenate superstar just made her grand arrival at the Royal Albert Hall for the 2024 Fashion Awards presented by Pandora, where she will be honored with the Cultural Innovator Award. She graced the red carpet arm-in-arm with beau A$AP Rocky, who looked suave in a Bottega Veneta ensemble: a navy blue jacket, pants, a white dress shirt, a maroon leather tie, and black loafers. But, Rihanna isn’t one to be upstaged, and the show-stopping all-blue look of the night actually belonged to her.

She stole the show by draping herself in icy blue fur—a look pulled straight from Christian Lacroix’s Fall/Winter 2002 couture collection. Part wrap dress, part shawl, the unique garment featured a plunging V-shaped neckline that revealed a black bustier underneath, as well as an asymmetrical hemline with a glittery black lace panel.

Rihanna finished off her look with more black accents—including a pair of sheer tights, glossy satin pumps, and leather opera gloves by Paula Rowan—and a bejeweled stack of diamond necklaces. As if that weren’t enough, the “Love on the Brain” singer kicked it up a notch with a floppy and oversize hat made out of electric blue-dyed fur.

The couple last attended the Fashion Awards together back in 2019, just a month before rumors that the two had begun dating emerged.

At the time, Rihanna once again wore an all-blue outfit, opting for a mint satin bustier minidress from her own fashion brand, Fenty. She kept the monochromatic theme going with a matching sheer wrap, mesh gloves, and satin pumps. Meanwhile, Rocky supported Rihanna by wearing a sharp black suit, also from Fenty. (Fenty eventually closed in 2021.)
