Miley Cyrus’s Rock-Star-Off-Duty Look Includes a Furry Top and Retro Sunglasses

Miley Cyrus doesn’t need a dramatic leather getup or a sky-high hairdo to look like the rock star she is. The “Flowers” singer can do just as much with a simple fit and the right accessories. This Monday, she proved that talent when she stepped out in New York City.

Cyrus looked effortlessly cool in a black furry tank top from Khaite and loose dark blue jeans with a subtle acid wash, also from Khaite.

Rather than opt for sneakers, boots, or heels, Cyrus went full comfort in a pair of black leather slides with chunky rubber soles. From the front, her firetruck-red pedicure peeked out.

Cyrus accessorized her easy look with retro-inspired sunglasses. These were brown tortoiseshell aviators with vibrant sky-blue lenses. They paired perfectly with her old-school hairdo: voluminous waves and choppy, straight bangs. For a single pop of color, she dabbed on a glossy bubblegum-pink lip.

The singer is currently working on a new album, titled Something Beautiful. Inspired by Pink Floyd’s The Wall, it will be her ninth studio album, and it is set to be released on May 30. Apart from dropping the new music, Cyrus will release a musical film of her album on June 6 at the Tribeca Film Festival, ahead of a theatrical release.

“My new album ‘Something Beautiful’ means the world to me, as it has been my world for a few years now. This process has been full of pure devotion and to now be sharing it with all of you is my deepest joy,” Cyrus wrote in a recent Instagram post.
