Let’s hope you’re ready for another brat summer. Charli XCX herself may have declared that it’s time for a different kind of summer, but it seems that whether she means to or not, the British pop singer will be dominating the conversation once again, given that her Brat Tour finally landed in the U.S. earlier this month, and she is set to have a string of shows in New York City, starting tonight.
Following stops in Minneapolis and Chicago earlier this week, Charli took a cue from fellow pop stars Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo by commemorating her shows with a fashion-filled Instagram photo dump. “I’m interested in the tension of staying too long,” she wrote in the caption. “Xoxo (minneapolis and chicago and bits inbetween).”
In highlighting her recent shows, the “Party 4 U” singer also showed off her recent string of looks, which leaned into her no-f*cks-given party-girl aesthetic.
Perhaps as a wink to her track “No Angel,” one of Charli’s fits—a Lily Teiger custom feathered dress—screamed divine being thanks to its tufts of rounded plumes and its snowy hue.
In other slides of her post, the Grammy winner made sure to show off a bit of her devilish side too, rocking candy-red bra tops and cutoff denim shorts paired with thigh-high black leather boots.
But, perhaps her brattiest act was when she got too hot on stage and decided to throw a fluffy black designer coat into the audience (as revealed by the final slide of the post, which featured an apologetic text from one of Charli’s stylists, seemingly relaying the news to the brand).
Charli hopefully held on to everything else, though. Other designer pieces she wore included an ivory Jean Paul Gaultier belt dress and a gold knotted crop top from Julie Kegels, which she paired with matching nude briefs.
If there’s one thing you can say about Charli, it’s that her fashion makes it seem like she’s always having fun. And even if it is about time for the brat era to end, the “brat” feeling certainly doesn’t have to. After all, Charli’s gonna keep the party going for as long as she can.
