A Complete Look at Rihanna’s Style Evolution Over the Years

As one of the most successful pop stars of the 21st century, the founder of successful beauty and fashion empires, a Grammy winner, a Super Bowl halftime performer, a billionaire, and a mother of two, Rihanna can quite simply do it all—and she does it all while looking totally fabulous.

Since arriving onto the scene at only 17 years old, with her first single, “Pon De Replay,” Rihanna has developed an aesthetic unlike any of her contemporaries. She’s become one of the most exciting stars to follow fashion-wise, whether she’s hitting a major red carpet or merely stepping outside for dinner. In fact, RiRi has had so many iconic fashion moments, that’s it hard to keep track.

There was that billowing pink Giambattista Valli dress that she slipped into for the 2015 Grammys. Then, she had that resplendent Guo Pei design that she wore to the “China: Through the Looking Glass” Met Gala the same year. Let’s not forget that custom Loewe jumpsuit and breastplate she wore while performing at the Super Bowl in 2023. Oh, and don’t even get me started on her maternity looks.
