Blackpink’s Lisa Becomes the New Face of Louis Vuitton

Lisa is no stranger to an ambassadorship. The Blackpink member was appointed global ambassador for Celine in 2020 and the face of M.A.C Cosmetics that same year, and her résumé just got a little longer, as she was named the newest face of Louis Vuitton on Tuesday.

“I am very excited to welcome Lisa as a house ambassador,” artistic director of Louis Vuitton women’s collections Nicolas Ghesquière said. “She has a daring spirit and charisma that I find incredibly compelling. She is as bold and creative with her music as she is with her fashion, and it is a privilege to accompany her on this journey.”

The K-pop singer appeared at the LV Fall/Winter ’24 show in Paris in March, a hint of the collaborative relationship to come. It’s been an exciting summer for Lisa, who just last month released her first solo single in three years, “Rockstar,” which peaked at no. 4 on the Billboard Global 200.

For girls in the know, Martine Rose is a label that fuses punk and hip-hop aesthetics with intricate design, and the brand has garnered a cult following since its launch in 2007.

Known for going against the grain and favoring community over commerce, the eponymous label’s founder held an intimate Fall/Winter ’24 show back in January, at which the rows were filled with family members and friends of the models who walked in it.

Now, those pieces have finally gone on sale, with a few surprise additions. It is a presentation of clothes full of character, from logo-printed denim to reimagined camo and crunchy velvet tracksuits. Shop the entire collection here.

Laura Dern Sells Her Clothes on Vestiaire for a Good Cause

We are currently in the era of the celebrity closet sale, with stars from Jenna Lyons to Chloë Sevigny clearing out their wardrobes and giving fans first dibs on the pickings. Now, Laura Dern is getting in on the action, and hers is for a good cause.

The Big Little Lies star teamed up with luxury resale site Vestiaire Collective for a charity sale that is benefiting Planned Parenthood—the nation’s leading provider of sex education and a resource for sexual and reproductive health.

Throughout her career, Dern has been an advocate for sustainable dressing, and this latest move only further proves that. The Oscar winner will donate 10 of her designer pieces from brands like Gucci, Stella McCartney, Oscar de la Renta, and the Vampire’s Wife, among others.

To promote the sale, Dern posted on Instagram, writing: “To help support reproductive freedom, I’ve donated a few pieces from my closet to @vestiaireco to help raise money for @plannedparenthood. Vestiaire Collective is also donating to @plannedparenthood as well. Follow my link in stories or in my bio to shop the pieces on @vestiaireco. Everyone deserves healthcare that’s free of shame, stigma, or judgment. #BansOffOurBodies.”

Miuccia Prada’s high-fashion brand Miu Miu boasts plenty of celebrity devotees, from Gigi Hadid to Sydney Sweeney. To really emphasize its star-studded boosters, the brand released a Fall/Winter ’24 campaign, “Individual Moments,” that was full of famous faces.

Featuring Cara Delevingne, musicians Ethel Cain, Charlotte Cardin, Little Simz, and Minnie, and model Caitlin Soetendal, the campaign—shot by Zoë Ghertner—embraced the playfulness and pageantry that has made Miu Miu so beloved.

In a press release from the brand, the latest collection was described as: “A vocabulary of clothing, from childhood to adulthood. New Burberry Classics Give Wardrobe Staples a Fresh Spin

Burberry is in the midst of releasing its “Burberry Classics”—what the brand says is “a curation of wardrobe foundations reimagined with a unique Burberry slant.” With this effort, the house is embracing its signature codes, like the Burberry check, while putting a fresh spin on wardrobe staples. And the latest installment of Classics does this with rainwear, ranging from trench coats and Harrington jackets to parkas and capes.

The release of this latest collection was celebrated with a campaign shot by Davit Giorgadze, who captured Giselle Norman, Lennon Gallagher, and Kai-Isaiah Jamal modeling the clothes. With these pieces, Burberry honors its long heritage and the design aspects that made the house a London staple.
