While designers like Prabal Gurung and Jonathan Simkhai put out tees that spell out a feminist message—one on his runway, the other as a gift to the front row—other designers are taking on the movement in a more subtle way. An emerging trend is popping up melding two popular signifiers of modern feminism—pussy hat pink and the pantsuit. For their inaugural collection as creative directors of Oscar de la Renta, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia sent a glam, perfectly-tailored bubblegum pink evening suit down the runway complete with a silver sequin cummerbund. Adam Lippes revealed a wide whale corduroy suit that's ideal for day in a deep blush tone and Adam Selman revealed a slouchy rose-pink silk suit with high-waisted pants paired with an easy tee. In other words, you'll have your pick of pink pantsuits for every occasion come fall—perhaps even for a march or two.
