The age-old debate, "are leggings pants?" continued this morning at Paris Fashion Week when Giambattista Valli sent Nike leggings down the runway.
The French designer paired high-fashion tops and lace-up booties with black Nike leggings worn as pants for its Fall 2017 collection.
Once reserved as the frowned-upon lazy girl's uniform, leggings as pants are finally getting a fighting chance, thanks to the continued rise of the athleisure movement—and now a seal of approval on the runway.
Of course, Giambattista Valli's version of leggings as pants included ruffled blouses, structured jackets and heeled booties—not your old college sweatshirt and Uggs.
What do you think: does this change your stance in the leggings vs. actual pants fashion debate?
