The Best Street Style From Paris Fashion Week's Spring 2023 Shows
It's supposed to rain all week, which means cowboy hats as umbrellas and chunky platforms instead of rain boots.

It's supposed to rain all week in Paris, and while showgoers at Paris Fashion Week may not be thrilled with the forecast, we are. Rain always creates unexpected street style moments that feel more genuine, and it's fun to see what platform shoes guests convince themselves can double as appropriate rain boots.
Aside from the elements, the week is going to be a lot. Literally. 107 houses are showing over the course of 9 days, from the big names like Chanel, Miu Miu, and Balenciaga to the lesser-known Ottolinger and Vaquera. Saint Laurent held a show under the Eiffel Tower again but this time built a brand new fountain just for the show, complete with a larger than life YSL logo smack in the middle. As for Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri's latest collection was accompanied with a set made completely out of cardboard by French artist Eva Jospin.
It's been an unpredictable week so far, with over-the-top sets to match, and the street style feels particularly impulsive. Raincoats be damned! Instead everyone is wearing...ties? And cowboy hats? And big corsage floral necklaces? In Paris anything goes, especially in the rain, apparently.
