Particularly for this highly-photographed moment, when you’ll want to feel your absolute best. “It’s so important to choose a bathing suit that fits you perfectly, that you feel 100% comfortable in, and something you won’t have to continuously adjust,” Keane recommends, even suggesting taking your suit to an activewear tailor to adjust straps or the waistline before your event, if needed. Another pro tip is to do a quick transparency test in the shower, with Keane pointing out that a tailor can always add more strategic lining if necessary.
To properly care for your precious suit, particularly if it’s an investment piece, she advises removing any padding and hand washing the garment in warm water directly after wearing it, before letting it dry flat out of direct sunlight and towel drying any hardware to avoid rusting.
