Last night saw the Golden Globes officially kick off the 2025 awards season, and the glamour knew no bounds. We had metallic dress moments, hair transformation reveals and of course some seriously breathtaking jewellery – this included the 14 pear-shaped diamonds that Zoë Kravitz wore in her ears.
The actress – who walked the red carpet in a black-and-white Saint Laurent gown – worked with British jeweller Jessica McCormack on the truly unique earrings, a modern take on the chandelier style with 14 graduating pear-shaped diamonds that almost looked as if they were suspended in the air. The diamonds were then set in blackened gold in McCormack's trademark style and to give them a little edge. Perfect for Kravitz's look.
"Every time Zoë walks the red carpet she looks beautiful, and her off-duty everyday style is so effortless," McCormack told us of why she loves working with the actress. "I will forever want our jewellery to be a part of her looks. She never looks too ‘done’, never over the top – so these earrings are perfect because they’re mega but in an easy, uncomplicated way."
Sourcing the 14 pear-shaped diamonds was the trickiest bit for McCormack and her team. They had to find stones which were all matching in ratio and size, which is no easy task when it comes to pear shapes. Once they were found, it took the workshop a full seven days to make the earrings by hand in time for Kravitz's big red-carpet moment.
For the actress, she had her full trust in the jeweller.
"We just knew we wanted to do a dramatic earring moment and Jessica took it from there," Kravitz tells us. "I want to work with Jessica on everything – I think she is one of the most talented and inspired jewellery artists we have today."
