Chanel channels the Italian getaway for cruise 2026
The house presented its latest collection in the ever glamorous Lake Como
The Chanel cruise show is always a celebration of glamour, but this season, the house outdid itself with a spectacle that embraced La Dolce Vita at one of the most famous, and fabulous, hotels in the world. The French fashion house – which presented cruise 2026 on Tuesday evening to starry crowd that included Keira Knightley and Margaret Qualley – hosted its latest show at Villa d’Este, a 16th Century landmark which has played host to royalty and some of the most famous film stars in history.
"The splendour of the Villa d’Este is equally reflected in the magnificence of its grounds, both by day and night. The magnolias, wisteria, camellias, rhododendrons and oleanders in the gardens inspire the lacework," the house said of how the beautiful location inspired the collection. "Luxurious and comfortable, the cruise 2026 collection reflects the atmosphere of nonchalance, glamour and harmony that has made the Villa d’Este and Lake Como famous ever since the Renaissance."
From embellished tweed two-pieces to silky slips and relaxed, comfortable co-ords, this was a collection that gave a very glamorous spin to easy breezy vacation dressing. Here, we round up highlights from the show, which marks one of the final produced by the in-house team before Matthieu Blazy's debut.
