As the eighth season of American Horror Story draws closer and closer, the great news for fans just keeps on coming. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott—who played the unfortunate married couple who moved into season one's Murder House—will both return for the upcoming AHS: Apocalypse.

Britton and McDermott are just the latest AHS veterans to confirm their return; it was announced earlier this month that Jessica Lange will be returning for Apocalypse, making her first appearance since season four. Lange is reprising her season one role as Constance Langdon. Britton and McDermott, meanwhile, will reprise their roles as Ben and Vivien Harmon, while Taissa Farmiga will also return (presumably as their daughter Violet).

AHS: Apocalypse will be the long-awaited crossover between Season 1 (Murder House) and Season 3 (Coven), with an all-star cast that includes returning faces like Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Frances Conroy, Billy Eichner, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Lily Rabe, and Stevie Nicks.

Plot details on the new season are under tight wraps, as ever, but producer Alexis Martin Woodall did confirm at the TCA Press Tour this month that the story “begins with the end of the world—and then our world begins... It starts in the real world. It’s very tangible, and it’s a familiar panic.” Creator Ryan Murphy stated that the show takes place in the near future. American Horror Story: Apocalypse will premiere on FX on September 12.
