As American Horror Story: Cult nears its final episode, there are even more casualties. Plus, the reason for Kai's sudden interest in politics is finally explained, and it becomes clear the cult wasn't even his idea in the first place. Here's everything that happened in American Horror Story: Cult Episode 10, "Charles (Manson) in Charge."

1) A pre-Election flashback showed Kai fighting with Winter's friends.

Watching a debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, Winter's female friends assume Clinton will win. Kai tells them they shouldn't underestimate "The passion of the angry white man... We've been humiliated and put down for too long." One of Winter's friends suggests that all members of the "alt-right" are sad, single, white men. Kai is so angry he slaps Winter's friend hard across the face, and she says she's going to press charges.

2) Kai is sent to anger management.

And his therapist is none other than Valerie Solanas's girlfriend Bebe, played by Frances Conroy. She suggests that Kai has a certain charisma that would lend itself to politics, and he should consider reading Solanas's work. Bebe is perhaps not the best anger management counsellor, and her advice only gets worse...

3) Kai's therapist has a plan to unleash "female rage."

Kai's therapist says that Donald Trump is her favorite president, because thanks to him, women's rage is brewing and coming to the forefront of society. As Bebe says, "He is slowly releasing the fury." This is where Kai comes in. Bebe plans to use Kai as a vessel to mobilize women's rage. He must sacrifice himself for the cause. As Bebe says, "Do you see how you—smart, charismatic, angry, woman-hating Kai Anderson—need to take your own hammer to that dam? How you must be the spear for that movement, because you are so very, very special?" Presumably, it was Bebe's idea to start a cult that enraged women everywhere and moved them to political action. But perhaps Bebe underestimated Kai's wherewithal.

4) In the present day, Kai starts his Senate campaign and meets opposition.

Kai is already canvassing, sure he can oust the current politician from office. He has his eye on the White House, and despite left-wing protestors crashing his rally, he seems to think he's invincible.

5) Kai's rally mirrors the real-life events of Charlottesville.

Kai is pepper sprayed in the eyes, and screaming, he falls to his knees. One of his cult members pours a quart of milk over his eyes to relieve the reaction, in exactly the same way white supremacists did in that viral video from Charlottesville. It feels as though this episode was written after those recent real-life events took place.

6) Kai told everyone Ivy went off to cooking school in Paris.

But Winter knows the truth and asks Ally if Ivy suffered. Personally, I still don't believe that Ivy is really dead, but Ally hints to Winter that she was the one who killed her wife, not Kai. She especially enjoys delivering this news, as Winter is clearly devastated about Ivy's disappearance.

7) Kai suggests that the "alt-right" are in the right.

Kai tells his minions, "We're not the ones wearing ski masks. We're not the ones throwing piss bottles. We shared ideas." He frames the cult's actions as just—that anyone opposing their ideas is the real monster.

8) Kai tells a Charles Manson bedtime story to the cult.

Kai delivers the story of Manson as an inspirational late-night story to his cult. The Manson segment includes the gruesome murder of a pregnant Sharon Tate and features several cult members playing different characters in Manson's cult (Billy Eichner and Leslie Grossman are back!).

At the end of the story, he announces, "We have to follow Manson's playbook, but do it bigger! ... A night of a thousand Tates."

10) Gary is the next victim of the clown killers.

To orchestrate the "night of a thousand Tates," Kai needs Gary's help. Gary goes to a local abortion clinic to steal a list of names of women requiring late-term abortions. He believes Kai needs this so the cult can hunt these women down, and murder them.

However, once he gets to the abortion clinic, he's promptly locked inside by some of Kai's male minions, and the clowns quickly surround him. Kai kisses Gary's forehead and says he needs Gary to do something for him. The clowns stab Gary to death in a grisly manner, and in the morning, he's left on the doorstep of the clinic, with a message left in blood for all the world to see, much like in the Manson murders.

10) Beverly reports from the scene of Gary's murder.

Reporter Beverly looks like anxious as she asks Kai questions about Gary's death, as he was one of Kai's earliest supporters. Kai blames the sitting senator, his competitor, for Gary's death, and calls all left-wingers "violent fascists." Once off air, Kai threatens Beverly, and tells her to do her job or she'll be put back in the hole.

11) Winter gives Beverly a train ticket and tells her to run away.

The train ticket is to Montana. Winter tries to warn Beverly and tells her to get as far away from the cult as possible. However, Beverly thinks it's a trap, and doesn't want to go back in the hole. Beverly claims, "I am his loyal follower, until the end."

12) Kai hears a buzz, and believes that his house is bugged.

Kai looks everywhere in his basement, sure that the place is bugged. He doesn't find anything, but he's convinced that there is a mole.

13) Zombie Dr. Vincent makes an appearance.

Kai goes to the death room in his house to think, where he often visits the bodies of his parents, and where Ivy was dumped at the end of the last episode. (Please note that unlike Kai's parents and brother, Ivy's entire body is covered in a white sheet, so it's impossible to tell who is underneath. Clearly, it's not Ivy.)

Once inside, the buzzing in his head stops, but he visualizes his brother, Dr. Vincent, who he murdered, speaking to him. Kai tells Vince, "I probably shouldn't have killed you." Then, Vince is stabbed by none other than Charles Manson.

14) Evan Peters plays Charles Manson.

And according to Manson, he is not a ghost. Manson warns Kai: "Identify the Judas... I trusted too much." Manson confirms Kai's suspicions that there is a mole in the cult.

15) Bebe is not happy with Kai.

Bebe demands answers from Kai as he has deviated from her plan for him to be a vessel to stir up female rage. Instead, he has made everyone angry and causing fights between the left and the right. Kai stands up to Bebe and tells her that, in his opinion, "Women can't run things. They're too emotional. Irrational... Women need to be grabbed by their pussies and led, preferably to the kitchen to make me a sandwich." Bebe is not happy with this answer, and hits Kai.

16) Ally shoots Bebe in the head.

After shooting her, Ally asks, "Who is this?" Kai replies, "My anger management counselor." In doing so, Ally proves herself not to be a mole.

17) Winter shaves Kai's blue hair off.

Goodbye, sweet prince.

18) Winter thinks she's convinced Kai to let her leave the cult...

She says if she stays, she fears she will grow to hate Kai. She needs to remove herself from the cult so she can be there for him at a later date. Kai seems to agree, saying, "One day I'm going to be in the White House, on Air Force One, and fucking the wives of other world leaders. And I'm going to need someone beside me I know I can trust."

19) But Kai found the train ticket she booked to Montana.

And Winter is dragged off by Kai's minions, with everyone believing she's the mole.

20) Charles Manson convinces Kai to do "what needs to be done."

Winter is on trial because Kai thinks she's the mole and has been bugging the house. Winter tells Kai that Ally is framing her because she had sex with Ivy, but Kai doesn't believe her. Another incarnation of Charles Manson appears and tells Kai to kill Winter.

21) Kai strangles Winter to death.

Sobbing, Kai kills his sister. His paranoia leads him to kill the only person he really loves.

22) Speed Wagon, one of Kai's minions, is revealed to be the mole.

Freaking out after Winter's murder, Speed Wagon is seen in his car, ripping a wire off his body. He's the mole! Then, Ally gets into the car too after realizing he's undercover. But what happens next is unclear...
