Fashion's favorite film is getting the small screen treatment (again).

Per Deadline, a Clueless TV series starring Alicia Silverstone has officially landed at Peacock for development—almost timed perfectly to the 30th anniversary of the beloved film later this summer. The original 1995 movie is considered a cultural juggernaut of it's time and featured a stacked cast that along with Silverstone included Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash, Donald Faison, and the late Brittany Murphy in her then breakout role. The film followed the everyday high school ongoings of Beverly Hills teen Cher Horowitz (Silverstone) and her best friend Dionne (Dash) as they schemed to matchmake and makeover their fellow teachers and classmates, including new student Tai (Murphy) who gives Cher a run for her Queen Bee status at school. In the decades since it's original release, the film's bright and bold fashion, quintessentially '90s soundtrack, and endlessly quotable lines (“You're a virgin who can't drive!”) have all stood the test of time.

Silverstone confirmed the reboot news on Instagram with a throwback still from the original film and a cheeky caption that read, “Totally buggin’… in the best way 💁‍♀️✨.”

This of course isn't the first time Clueless has received the TV treatment. Following the success of the film, a 1996 series landed on ABC and UPN with Rachel Blanchard taking on the coveted role of Horowitz. While Silverstone wasn't available due to scheduling conflicts for the 1996 TV spin-off it seems she's managed to clear her schedule for the highly anticipated new reboot. The upcoming television adaption will be written and executive produced by Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage along with the 1995's movie's original writer and director Amy Heckerling and producer Robert Lawrence also executive producing.

There's no other news on casting out for now, but considering our endless love for '90s nostalgia isn't going anywhere anytime soon, we think a few familiar faces will be on board soon enough.
