"Being daring is really different for everyone," says astrologist Chani Nicholas. "Some signs actually don't need to be more courageous, they actually might need to learn to do something differently, tone something down, or balance something out."
Below, Nicholas advises how to challenge yourself based on your zodiac, because what's bold for one person could be easy for another; and what society deems courageous doesn't necessarily apply to everyone in the same way.
Aries
"You're naturally very daring, bold and courageous. You to leap into the unknown. You don't need to be encouraged to be more of that, because you already are. Where you might learn to be daring is learning about how to wait, how to be patient and how to be sensitive. To move into those parts is actually quite daring; how to be concerned in those ways and not just leaping before you look."
Taurus
"Taurus loves beautiful things, being comfortable and being stable. For you, being daring might involve getting uncomfortable, unstuck or working on being with okay with uncertainty. Being in the kind of uncertain elements of life might be daring for you. You might also go towards intensity, because you like to be even-field and calm. Moving into more intense feelings or situations in life might teach you about being daring."
Gemini
"Gemini is a dashing, quick and versatile sign that really has a lot of very vast interests and moves about the world in a multitude of ways. Being daring for you might entail learning how to hold focus and go deep with something—to pull focus and get into one thing."
Cancer
"Cancer is an emotional and sensitive sign, so learning how to be daring might be in regards to not taking things personally, because that really inhibits you from being able to act in the world. Also, it would be good for you to not wait until you feel like doing something. Just do the thing, and your feeling will change."
Leo
"The Leo is an adorable, loving and high-drama, at times, kind of sign. You need to be the center of attention, so one thing that you can do to learn to be daring—because you're already pretty good about putting yourself out there—is learning how to love yourself. Learn to look inside for applause, learn how to look for inner acceptance and not being dependent on the crowd or the audience's love. That would be a daring thing for you: to not go towards the praise, but to go towards your inner sense of self."
Virgo
"You need to make a mess because you've got everything too organized, too perfect and too categorized. That's what's beautiful about Virgos, but to make a mess would be daring and to embrace your own imperfections and life's imperfections. To even be irresponsible and let loose some times would be daring."
Libra
"You need to know that even if you make the "wrong" decision, it's still worth taking because you can learn so much from it. Dare to try something and totally commit to it. You often end up getting stuck weighing the options of two things. Just pick a side and go with it! Follow it through and see what you learn from it; don't worry about it being the right decision."
Scorpio
"Scorpio doesn't need a lot of encouragement to be daring—it's a lot like Aries that way. You're quite strong, but maybe in a more covert way than Aries is. It might be courageous to see the brighter side of life, you might even dare to not be so intense with something, to let things be a little bit more for fun and to lighten up."
Sagittarius
"Sagittarius will venture down any road as long as it looks interesting. You're very adventurous, almost to a fault sometimes. You might need to learn how to say "no" to something, and learn how to cut things off instead of chasing every possibility. You might need to learn some discernment. To be daring for you is to see that the glass is also half empty, not that it's only half-full."
Capricorn
"Capricorn will succeed at anything. You will climb any mountain to get the gold. But being daring involves loosening some of its own rules, breaking some of the more austere practices that it has and letting some vulnerability shine through. It's also about not adhering to the trope that society deems is the best. You're really good at being traditional. Go against tradition because it's what you want, not because it's what other people say is good."
Aquarius
"You often outsmart yourself, since Aquarius is a very intelligent and intellectual sign. To be daring for you might involve going into your feelings. If you're in the feeling realm, things don't always make sense, but allow things to not make sense for a moment. Dare to be with your feelings a little bit more."
Pisces
