Join Harper’s Bazaar on Thursday 6 March for our seventh annual International Women’s Day gala dinner, held at the Corinthia London in partnership with the Caring Family Foundation, Pomellato and Blacklane,
Opening the evening will be Bazaar’s guest of honour Geri Halliwell-Horner, whose career has taken her from performing as a Spice Girl to ventures into acting, broadcasting and writing for children. She will give a rousing address on what female empowerment means today.
Lucy Boynton, a critically acclaimed actress who has starred in films including Bohemian Rhapsody, will talk about her new project A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story, a television miniseries about the last woman in Britain to be executed.
The stellar line-up of speakers will also include Emma Barnett, the BBC Radio 4 Today programme presenter and author of the forthcoming book Maternity Service, who will reflect on harnessing ambition to achieve success against the odds. We will also hear from the Marvel actress and Unicef ambassador Gemma Chan, in conversation with the humanitarian and Daughters for Earth co-founder Zainab Salbi, who will discuss putting women front and centre in the fight to preserve our planet. Further headline speakers will be announced shortly.
Guests will enjoy a champagne reception, followed by a three-course dinner hosted by Harper’s Bazaar’s editor-in-chief Lydia Slater, and will take home a luxury gift bag containing products from our favourite beauty brands, plus the latest issue of the magazine. “We are delighted to be celebrating the power of women with a cohort of inspiring individuals at the forefront of their fields at our International Women’s Day gala, in partnership with the Caring Family Foundation,” says Slater.
