As much as I love a rich fall lip or burgundy nail color for the colder months, light and breezy makeup and undone hair are more my cup of tea. It’s never too early to start planning your spring beauty mood board.

Although Fashion Month is only just beginning, New York has introduced some effortless and easy-to-create hairstyles (hint: slick-backs aren’t going anywhere) and makeup looks, like light layers of blush. Plus, nail colors pack a punch, with metallics and shades of pink reigning for the upcoming season. Ahead, we break down the best beauty trends from the Spring 2025 shows that we’re already road-testing.

Wet styles are easy to achieve, low maintenance, and require just a few steps. Backstage at Luar’s Spring/Summer 2025 show, TRESemmé lead stylist Evanie Frausto used gel to create a glassy, sculptural look and locked in the shiny style with hairspray.

Hairstylist Charlie Le Mindu channeled the “touch grass” hair—in other words, a modern twist on cool-girl, metropolitan hair with lots of length, messy waves, and a little bit of grease. While this style can easily be re-created on second-day hair, Mindu used a combination of dry shampoo to add texture and grit before finishing with oil for shine.

Tousled waves work on all lengths—from long locks to bobs. On Michael Kors’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway, textured hair matched the various textures seen throughout the collection, including raffia fringe and lace.
