Going backstage at any show during Fashion Month can be overwhelming. It’s always a flurry of activity between the models, makeup artists, hairstylists, photographers, and fashion staff. As editors, we go backstage to get intel on the best hair, makeup, and nail looks of the season, as well as to capture content, which can be tricky if you don’t have a professional-quality camera. But we came armed this season with a new weapon in our journalistic arsenal: We were one of the first to test the new iPhone 16 Pro Max and all its upgraded photography features, like the 48MP Ultra Wide camera, which allowed us to capture those special backstage shots with unmatched detail.

The eyebrows at Marni are bound to be among the season’s most talked-about and polarizing beauty looks. Backstage, makeup artists temporarily disguised models’ natural brows with concealer and then drew skinny, bold new brows high up on the face for a dramatic editorial look. The detail provided by shooting in Macro on the new iPhone 16 Pro Max allows us to see exactly how this controversial look came together.
