Previously worn by the likes of Margot Robbie, Jennifer Lawrence, and recent Harper’s Bazaar cover stars Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar, the double-denim trend just got the Anne Hathaway treatment.
This Tuesday, the Devil Wears Prada star stepped out in New York City in a jean set that she styled with a classic shoe and a statement jacket.
The base of the outfit included a button-up, work-inspired blue denim top with a sharp collar, and wide-leg jeans with frayed hems, from Stella McCartney. (You can shop them here, for $1,150.) A beige snakeskin belt with a golden buckle cinched the pants at the waist.
To go with the gold of her belt, Hathaway layered on a golden lamé barn jacket from Christopher John Rogers’s highly-celebrated collaboration with J.Crew. The metallic piece dropped in the fall of 2024, and quickly sold out, to fans’ dismay.
Hathaway completed her look with a shoe that will never go out of style: the Adidas Sambas. Hers came in a deep burgundy with white accents. They retail for $100, and you can buy them directly on the Adidas website, or on Amazon
.
For accessories, the actor wore dainty gold jewelry—small hoop earrings and some rings—and oversize brown sunglasses. She also carried a green glass bottle of the Mountain Valley spring water—chic.
Classic, affordable sneakers, and an impossible-to-get statement jacket. Hathaway’s is a high-low look if we’ve ever seen one.
