Megan Thee Stallion will forever be a hot girl.
If hosting the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards wasn't enough, the rap star also found time to perform a medley of her latest hits during the awards show tonight at UBS Arena in New York. Clad in a yellow cutout bodysuit and matching boots, the Houston superstar performed some of the latest tracks of her third studio album MEGAN, including "Hiss" and the Tik-Tok smash "Mamushi," which Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba also made an onstage appearance for. Megan dazzled on and off stage during the night, making a red carpet appearance ahead of the show in a sheer sculptural black gown from Nicole + Felicia and of course having an outfit change for every time she came back to address the crowd. Her hosting looks included a Simon Biles inspired bodysuit bedazzled bodysuit as well as a recreation of Britney Spears's "I'm a Slave 4 U" performance outfit.
The rap superstar recently opened up to Billboard about maintaining her longevity as a woman in hip-hop and what keeps her going against all odds.
"[It'a all] because I really like to rap. Where I come from, people are really freestyling. What I come from is hardcore rap, Southern rap," she told the outlet. "The one thing in my life that I knew I was really good at was rapping. I don’t ever want to get away from that. I don’t ever want to play with it. I don’t ever want people to think I don’t take it seriously...I just want to rap. I want to be Megan Thee Stallion. I want to rap for as long as I can."
