Bella Hadid has been embracing the western aesthetic for a couple of years now—more so ever since she moved to Texas with cowboy boyfriend Adan Banuelos. But this Monday in New York City, the supermodel demonstrated that even the easily-recognisable cowgirl look can be chic and subtle.
Hadid stepped out in the city in a slinky chocolate-brown top and ripped jeans. The top, from ME+EM, had a stretchy off-the-shoulder neckline, and was semi-sheer. Hadid tucked it into her light-wash blue jeans, which were super high-waisted and had large rips at the knees. She cinched the style with a statement belt from Kate Cate made up of triangular brown leather links and a square golden buckle.
To continue with the earth tones, the Orebella founder capped off her look with pointy heels in a deep brown. And later, when the breeze chilled, she layered on a bulky brown leather jacket with a distressed, vintage finish in a rusty orange—a style that she often throws on over her outfit.
Hadid kept her jewellery just as minimal, opting for tiny gold-and-diamond hoop earrings, a dainty gold necklace with a single white diamond, some gold bracelets and rings, and a chunky yellow acetate bangle from Frasier Sterling.
Her most 'It' girl accessory? Her sleek brown Chanel sunglasses. The frameless shades were adorned with little CC logos on the sides. Sadly, they are vintage, and no longer for sale except on certain luxury resale sites, such as Vestiaire Collective.
