Olivia Rodrigo’s red-carpet style keeps getting better and better.

If you’ve followed Rodrigo since she first skyrocketed to fame with the release of “Drivers License,” then you might fondly recall her early red-carpet style—a healthy dose of teenage angst blended with good old-fashioned punk rock sensibilities (think pink and purple sparkles topped off with fishnet and platform combat boots). But, as of late, Rodrigo has taken a sartorial pivot, leaning less pop-punk princess and more glam bombshell. Now, her latest red-carpet look at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party has officially solidified her new style era.

Last night, Rodrigo arrived for the post-Oscars festivities wearing a look that just debuted on Roberto Cavalli’s Fall/Winter 2025 runway during Milan Fashion Week. Originally worn by model Amelia Gray, the dress featured a figure-hugging cut of slick black leather, complete with halter straps, a plunging neckline, and a mermaid flare. Rodrigo finished the look off with few accessories, simply adding some black-pearl drop earrings and a pair of black pointed-toe pumps.

Rodrigo last debuted a bombshell-esque red-carpet look during the 2025 Grammys in February. At the time, she wore another slinky black number—a vintage Versace halterneck gown that featured a large keyhole cutout and a backless design that cut into the sides of her abdomen.

She previously reflected on her style evolution in a December 2024 interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “My style is constantly changing with every year I grow,” she said. “Especially after being on tour, I’m really prioritizing comfortable things that I can move in. Wearing clothes and colors that feel like me make me feel confident.”
