Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling jokingly fight about Barbenheimer

âIâm just happy we can finally put this Barbenheimer rivalry behind us,â Gosling said, to which Blunt replied, âThe way this award season has turned out, it wasnât that much of a rivalry, so just let it go!â
âItâs true, you guys are doing very well, congratulations,â Gosling joked, before adding one final jab: âBut, you know, I think I kind of figured out why they call it âBarbenheimerâ and they didnât call it âOppenbarbie.â I think you guys are at the tail end of that âcause you were riding Barbieâs coattails all summer!â he said, to laughs and cheers from the audience.

I thank all the people who have stepped in my path and have been there for me and ushered me and guided meâI am so grateful for all you beautiful people out there,â Randolph said. âI prayed for so longââŠâI always wanted to be different, but now I realize that I just need to be myself. I thank you for you seeing me.â
John Cena walked onstage nakedâso naked

John Cena sidled onstage entirely naked, other than a pair of Birkenstocks, to present the Best Costume Design award, which ultimately went to Poor Things. While at the mic in front of the celebrity crowdâtruly a scene from everyoneâs worst nightmareâCena joked about the importance of clothes, before, eventually, host Jimmy Kimmel threw him a gown to cover himself up with.
Ryan Gosling delivered the performance of a lifetime

The actor gave a hilariously magnificent performance of âIâm Just Ken,â from Greta Gerwigâs Barbie, in a bright pink suit, accompanied by other Kens dressed in black cowboy looks.
The original song was nominated for an Academy Award tonight.
At one point during the performance, legendary guitarist Slash got up next to Gosling and played; and toward the end, Gosling descended the stage and passed the mic to his Barbie family: Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie, and America Ferrera. He also let longtime friend and La La Land costar Emma Stone sing a partâlike the real-life Ken he is.

After claps from the audience, the actor shifted the spotlight to his wife. âI'd like to thank my veterinarianâI mean, wifeâSusan Downey over there. She found me a snarly rescue pet and she loved me back to life,â he said. âThatâs why Iâm here.â

She even quoted pal Taylor Swiftâs âBigger Than the Whole Sky,â adding her praise for her daughter: âI love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl.â
Jimmy Kimmel roasted Donald Trump

Toward the end of the ceremony, the Oscars host hilariously roasted Donald Trump by sharing a comment the former U.S. president posted on his social media platform Truth Social while watching the awards show from home. âHas there EVER been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars? His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and can never be,â the critical comment began.
âThanks for watching, but isnât it past your jail time?â Kimmel said in response, referring to Trumpâs ongoing court cases, which could land him in prison.
