Stylist Carlos Nazario has an eye for fashion imagery that is playful, daring, and unexpected. Just take a look at the work he’s done on some of Bazaar’s recent covers, from Solange wearing a black leather Prada jacket (with nothing underneath) to Gisele Bündchen in an eye-popping Bottega Veneta pom-pom dress.
In honor of Nazario’s appointment as style director at large for Bazaar, editor in chief Samira Nasr held a celebratory dinner in collaboration with Instagram fashion partnerships director Eva Chen at the restaurant Sugaar in Paris on Tuesday night. It was an evening full of camaraderie and creative coalition (and you can tell it was a fun party, because cops shut it down at the end of the night). Meanwhile, photographer Stephane Feugere was there to capture photos of the special event.
The star-studded affair was attended by designers, friends, and Bazaar collaborators. The list included designer Pieter Mulier of Alaïa, models Emily Ratajkowski, Liya Kebede, and Nora Attal, and Balenciaga CEO Cédric Charbit—not to mention other creatives, like makeup artist Yadim Carranza and photographer Luis Alberto Rodriguez.
Nazario was appointed to the newly created role in November 2023, and the first cover he styled was for Bazaar’s February 2024 Joy Issue. In the past, the creative consultant has worked with celebs like Rihanna, Naomi Campbell, Lizzo, Zoë Kravitz, and Bella Hadid.
In his role at Bazaar, Nazario will style the covers of the magazine and lead a team of creative collaborators. With two covers already under his belt, it will be thrilling to see how the stylist continues to expand his vision and push the boundaries of fashion.
