The pop-of-red trend may have seen its peak late last year and during red-carpet season this summer, but as Emily Ratajkowski just proved, the fad is nowhere near its end.
On Saturday, EmRata stepped out for a girls’ night with friend Ziwe in New York City’s SoHo. The model and the comedian coordinated in minimalist pieces with some flare.
Ziwe opted for a black super-cropped long-sleeved top with puffs of fur at the wrists, and a black silky maxi skirt which she wore low on her hips, showing off her abs. She finished the monochrome fit with funky lace-up sneakers, a small leather bag, and large diamond studs.
Ratajkowski opted for a cozier day-to-night look. She slipped into a slinky white one-shoulder top with long sleeves, and for bottoms opted for sleek black form-fitting trousers (a similar style, the Editor pant, is available at Express). EmRata added a perfect fall shoe to the ensemble: a maroon leather ankle boot. And she finished the look with a pop of bright red in the form of an elongated mini leather bag with a long shoulder strap, courtesy of Alaïa. (The It bag retails for $2,450 and also comes in white, beige, sky blue, and black.)
For jewelry, Ratajkowski pulled out a large pair of metallic silver hoops; and for glam, she chose rosy blush, a jet-black cat-eye, and a glossy brown lip. Her hair was down, straight.
