When it's February in New York at Harper's Bazaar, we're gearing up for a month of fashion shows and planning outfits to hit the streets in.
I scour the market during New York Fashion Week so that when we start shooting our Fall fashion stories, I will be ready to highlight the season's key trends based on everything we saw.
Attending shows and presentations throughout the day and squeezing in appointments with designers, I probably saw upwards of 75 collections within the week! I'm pushing the limits of my iCloud storage by way of pictures and videos in my camera roll and jotting down key takeaways in my notes app. Below are my highlights from New York Fashion Week, including all the off-runway details and IYKYK collabs you may have missed.
NYFW Kick Off

Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen / Sarah Oliveri
Willy Chavaria hosted preview appointments ahead of his Paris debut, Marc Jacobs showed his collection ahead of the official New York Fashion Week calendar start, and Jac Cameron celebrated her debut season of RÙADH on Moda Operandi.

Exaggerated Classics at Marc Jacobs
I loved this look with exaggerated corduroy's and this short-sleeved sweater, he always romanticizes classics wardrobe staples!

Willy Chavarria's Fancy New Labels
At preview appointment with Chavarria before his Paris show, I loved the elegant, new labels inside the shirting!

Bode's Doll Clothes
For Emily Bode's Fall collection, she made each piece in doll size to photograph the looks, which were on display in her showroom.

Jenna Lyons Walks the Runway
Lingua Franca's show at the Bowery Hotel was full of surprises, including Lyons dressed like the hotel's logo.

Day 1:

Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen / Sarah Oliveri
I started uptown at The Row and ended at Christopher John Rogers in Brooklyn, and took a pitstop at MyTheresa's NYFW kickoff party (with burgers & French fries, of course) in between.

The Row's Perfect Cords
The Row's 71st Street store was an ideal setting to preview the new Fall collection. These corduroys have a wide wale for the perfect chunky texture.

Christopher John Rogers Returns to NYFW!
Look 1 from CJR's first collection back on the calendar (in 5 years!) was pure joy.
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
SLOAN's Strong Debut
Julia Sloan creates her namesake line out of Mexico City, Mexico, where she resides, in collaboration with local female artisans. I loved all of the elevated daywear separates that she presented!
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
This Cozy Scarf Coat at Brandon Maxwell
One of my favorite looks from the collection was this dreamy scarf coat. Like wearing a hug.
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Collina Strada x TomTex Bags
Collina Strada's collabs never disappoint. This season, designer Hilary Taymour partnered with Brooklyn-based biomaterials company TomTex on a line using their proprietary biodegradable, vegan materials. Cute, and also thoughtful.
Jaclyn Alexandra CohenLisa Yang My Hero Turtleneck Sweater
The coziest sweater I wore this week was by Lisa Yang. It has the perfect turtleneck-line (it stays up!) so you don't even need a scarf.
Day 2: Fall's Best Textures

Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen / Sarah Oliveri
The best of fall textures were on display on day two. There was Colleen Allen's reinterpretation of Renaissance house coats in soft velvets, Maria McManus's fuzzy knit sweaters, and Sergio Hudson's sleek leather skirt suit.

Frances Howie's New FFORME
FFORME took new creative direction under Howie for Fall '25, with a more undone approach. I love this chic extra-long cream knit top with a layered fringe silk maxi skirt.

Perfect Poufs at Ashlyn and Colleen Allen
Ashlynn Parks's studio team call them "hip dumplings." Whatever you call it, these rounded Victorian-inspired shapes showed up in Colleen Allen's collection too. (She also showed a ruffled tulle bustle!)
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen / Sarah Oliveri
Don't Let Disco for Maria McManus
McManus showed her Fall collection of sophisticated knits, rich leathers, and tailored pieces with jewelry from Ashley Moubayed of Don't Let Disco.

Theory Trusts the Process
For its presentation, Theory showed us everything, from the sample making process to the photoshoot (where Tonne Goodman styled in person).
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
The Cropped Barn Jacket of my Dreams
Jac Cameron's utility barn jacket hybrid (in denim!!!) for her line Rùadh was my favorite piece. Top of my wish list!
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
A Perfect LBD at Marina Moscone
This dress was one of the chicest of the day, and Marina styled it with the most beautiful vintage hat.

Day 3: Long Live the Scarf Coat

Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen / Sarah Oliveri
Designers doubled down on scarf coats, with versions in camel at Altuzarra and Khaite shows. Funnily enough, I wore my Toteme one that day too!

Tie It Any Which Way
The Fall 5000 Runway show was full of twists on classic tailoring. My favorite look was their white shirt with a curved button placket, where a necktie slipped perfectly inside the top of the shirt.
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Purple Hues Reign
Purple showsed up on a Prabal Gurung off-the-shoulder polka dotted frock and at Anna Sui on a dreamy corduroy skirt suit.

Day 4: Bag Charms and Bold Prints

Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen / Sarah Oliveri
Polka Dots! Animal prints! Bag charms! The day was full of fun fashion at Sandy Liang and crafty glamor at Ulla Johnson and more.

Polka Dots at Sandy Liang & Monse
Obsessed with this fun print!!!
Jaclyn Alexandra CohenMaison de Sabré Charm that is a Cherry On Top for your Bags!
These charms are so fun, and the zippers actually open!

Theophilio Leather Shirt Jacket
This studded (perfectly) oversized shacket was my favorite piece from Edvin's new Theophilio collection. It looked cool with jeans, and was hard not to run out the door with this!!
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Bags & More at Kate Hudley
Kate comes from designing bags for Ralph Lauren, and for her own collection made a chic cargo bag, that pairs perfectly with this 90's silhouette red number.
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Nia Thomas at Black in Fashion Council
BIFC is not only an amazing showcase of talented designers (for 10 seasons now and counting), but it's also where I get to catch up with Sandrine Charles and Tenique Bernard, who are two of the three women behind the amazing operation! I love seeing designer Nia Thomas there, she makes the perfect vacation tops.
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Friends & Family at Jonathan Cohen
Jonathan along with his business partner Sarah Leff, hosted a presentation for their FW25 collection and got by with more than just a little help from their friends—it looked amazing! My favorite was (fellow designer) Batsheva Hay in this peplum top and yellow skirt number.
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Day 5: Key Silhouettes

Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen / Sarah Oliveri
Bring on the drama! There were capes at Carolina Herrera as well as re-worked classic silhouettes; argyle, stripes, sequins—the works at Zankov; and ideal transitional layering from TWP and Diotima.

Favorite looks at Tory Burch FW25
Tory was one of my favorite shows of the week. The collection was so satisfying for so many different reasons. For starters this look in front is how I want the classics to be reinvented, the construction is there but all with a twist. I want to wear this every day. And the knit track pants behind this! What is not to love?
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Cropped Jackets! Corduroy Pants! Coach for The Win
This season, Stuart Verves designed a collection of wardrobe staples, in funkier silhouettes, that just felt cool. And somewhat groovy. Everything about this look screams Fall, and everything that makes it a fun season to get dressed in. Rich coffee colored XXL cords and an XXS shrunken jacket have never felt more right together.
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Diotima Magic
Rachel Scott continues to outdo herself every season. Her butter yellow crochet tie cape look was beyond elegant and this whole collection hit another note for her. As always however, she delivered sophisticated crochets in the most directional silhouettes. Obsessed with everything!
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Henry Zankov Makes Knitwear (& NYFW) Fun
At the Zankov presentation, Henry and his stylist Jermaine Daley, circle the room after models walk out to mix and mingle with guests. It's one of the highlights on the calendar for the week! I also had the opportunity to get up close and personal which meant seeing striped scarves layered with another textured knit, and argyle sweaters mixed with sequins—the whole collection was so effortless, beautiful, and FUN!
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Updated House Codes at Carolina Herrera
Carolina Herrera has always made the perfect white shirt, and since it's evolution, the styling of said shirt (as demonstrated by Mrs. Herrera herself) is with an a-line / circle skirt (usually ballroom length). This season, designer Wes Anderson went oversized with no collar and front pleats for the shirting, paired with the most beautiful lace crinoline skirt.
Jaclyn Alexandra CohenBrave Pudding Hampton Strolls
Every look at TWP FW25 was styled effortlessly, everyone was layered with sweaters tied around blazers, and jackets tied around the waist of a dresses, the collection was a highlight. I was so excited to see that Sarah Fiszel's shoes that she launched were styled with each look. They are so chic, but also comfortable! I have 2 pairs and counting!
Day 6: Dreamy Shoes and Suiting with a Twist

Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen / Sarah Oliveri
Kallmeyer showed a standout collection, Thome Browne's use of silk ties made me smile, Trevor Houston secretly previewed his new fantastic shoe collection for Herbert Levine, and I wore my favorite aviator shearling jacket from Loewe (and shearling Chanel bag).

Trevor Houston at Herbert Levine is pure joy!!!!
Trevor Houston is a women's footwear savant, designing shoes for The Row (and during a time when their clear flats first came out and shook us all to the core), and also for Khaite. Now his talents are being debuted at the iconic Herbet Levine, a shoe brand known for pushing the boundaries and a history of making shoes feel high fashion. Watch this space!
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Silky Tie Panel Dress at Thome Browne
The construction of every tailored piece in the Thom Browne FW25 collection is much like the precision of the show's production level itself, methodically brilliant. Look 52 in all of it's glory, looked like a nod to the otherwise tailored looks accessorized with ties, but in dress form, and it's mix of plaid herringbone and silky colored panels was the perfect patchwork play that we saw in other ways throughout the collection. Just fab!
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
More Argyle, but New at Proenza Schouler and Adam Lippes
For Jack and Lazio's final Proenza Schouler collection, amongst the previously pictured aviator jacket and practical wardrobe staples they do so well, there was pattern play mixed in, and an ideal wrap top with the best fall colors (yes, brown being the color, right?!). Adam Lippes leaned fully into argyle with a three piece sweater set, that allows for sweater layering to play with!
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Kallmeyer's Show was Chef's Kiss Good
With coffee pre-show from Lodi (and cookies post-show), everyone was already in a good mood, but the collection outdid itself. I met Daniella post-covid at one of my first appointments back out of lock down, at her store on Orchard, and I'm so grateful it was. She has such a specific vision, and has continued to execute some of the chicest daywear coming out of New York. Her FW25 show was no different, and this look with a simple turtleneck and trousers (tailored to perfect) was no different, yet it's all in the details with wine colored leather gloves, beaded tassel necklace, and effortlessly held oversized slouchy tote with refined loafers. Just heaven!
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Suzie Kondi's Cloudy Mittens
Everything that Suzie makes feels like you want to cuddle up in it. Her fluffy knits, and terrycloth balloon pants (that she stood up to show me in my first zoom with her when we were in lock down) all fits so effortlessly. She does all the work so that you simply have to throw it on! I previewed a scarf/head wrap knit concoction she's dreamt up, that's going to be the comfort blanket for all of us next season!
Jaclyn Alexandra Cohen
Heirlome Made the Perfect Double Breasted Blazer
Finding wardrobe staples that feel new is just so satisfying. Designer Stephanie Suberville, has woven in artisanal crafted elements to her sportswear before, and she honed in on daywear separates this season in luxurious fabrics, but the cut of this blazer is one I can't stop thinking about.
