Kensington Palace has unveiled a new photo of Louis as the young prince celebrates his seventh birthday.
The portrait, taken by the photographer Josh Shinner, sees a beaming Prince Louis as he sits atop a tree trunk in Norfolk, where the wider Wales’ family were holidaying over Easter.
The ever-cheeky Louis showed off his missing teeth in the adorable photo, in which the youngest child of Prince William and Kate wore a smart khaki jumper, checked shirt and navy blue jeans.
The Royal Family's own X (formerly Twitter) account posted the new image of the young royal with a message, saying: “Happy Birthday to Prince Louis!”, followed by balloon and celebrations emojis.
Louis was born on 23 April 2018 at the private Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London.
The younger brother of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis has established himself as one of most popular young royals for his antics at large engagements.
He stole hearts and earned big laughs when he performed little dances at the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
He was also spotted pulling silly faces at onlookers when he and the rest of the family stood on the balcony at Buckingham Palace.
The news comes after James Middleton, the Princess of Wales’ younger brother, revealed that Prince William had to pass a ‘test’ for him to be accepted to the wider family.
Middleton jokingly told Hello! magazine that the heir to the throne had to be a “firm lover of dogs” before the wider Middleton clan accepted Prince William.
“He had a very strong relationship with a black lab called Wigeon growing up, so he knew the powers of what dogs can do,” he said.
