Since her return to Instagram earlier this year, the Duchess of Sussex has regularly enjoyed updating her followers on her day-to-day.

In her most recent post, the 43-year-old was making the most of the Californian sunshine with her family.

The story post sees Meghan, alongside husband Prince Harry and their two children, enjoying the weather and taking a stroll in the grounds of her Montecito house.

And it would appear that the duchess was giving a poignant nod to her late mother-in-law with her choice in clothing.

Meghan wore a purple sweatshirt from her alma mater, Northwestern, which shares a striking resemblance to the Northwestern jumper Princess Diana used to wear.

The duchess studied theatre and international studies at Northwestern University, graduating in 2003. Meanwhile, Diana received her sweatshirt as a gift in 1995, after she visited the campus to raise money for the University’s Robert H. Lurie Cancer Centre.

Meghan’s Instagram post comes just days before her latest venture, With Love, Meghan, lands on Netflix. The lifestyle programme was previously delayed due to the wildfires in Los Angeles. Per the trailer, the duchess hopes that the new series highlights “how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected”.

Meghan also recently announced she has renamed her brand. Previously touted as ‘American Rivera Orchard’, the former actress confirmed on Instagram that the new venture is to now be called ‘As Ever’ – and will sell a variety of home goods, such as cookbooks, food and kitchenware.

There will also be fruit preserves, with Meghan previously releasing just 50 jars of jam last year in a bid to tease her new brand. “I think we're all clear at this point that jam is my jam,” the Duchess of Sussex laughs in the reel. “But there are so many more products that I just love, and now it's time to share them with you. So I just can't wait for you to see it. Thanks guys!”
