The Wales kids are all grown up and expertly following royal protocol — even when they can’t help but make funny faces at important events.

Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, joined their parents and family members at the Victory in Europe Day 80th anniversary celebration on Sunday. The three sat in a row between Kate and William to watch a special military procession at Buckingham Palace.

The event was a serious and meaningful affair honouring those who served during World War II — and while the action took place, the Wales kids were on their absolute best behaviour. They even waved to the crowd, and we didn’t get to see any silly gestures from resident royal comedian Louis this time around — though seeing him and his siblings pointing and widening their eyes in awe as they watched the Royal Air Force was fun, and the photos are priceless.

While Kate wore a vibrant magenta coatdress and fascinator for the occasion, William went classic in his military uniform, and the kids matched him in polished navy ensembles.

Charlotte usually coordinates with her mother, but this time, she wore a plaid navy-and-green minidress with a frilly white collar, and a matching plaid coat. For shoes, she slipped into a pair of glossy black ballet flats with top straps. Her hair was styled in a sweet braided ’do.
