I’m always asked, “What are your favorite beauty products?”—and honestly, I find that question hard to answer. My role as Bazaar’s beauty director requires me to test hundreds, if not thousands, of launches yearly, so my favorites change daily as I discover what’s new. I’m not alone in this. My colleagues also have access to the best that beauty has to offer, and, combined with their exceptional taste, are keepers of so many must-have recommendations across skincare, haircare, body care, makeup, and more. The list below represents the 21 beauty products we all tried and loved this past month, organized in one handy list. Happy shopping!
“The weather started to turn cooler, and my skin, as always, started to get unpredictable and dry. I immediately added more layers of hydration to my daily routine, and I love how this Glazing Milk from Rhode feels. It’s soothing, instantly hydrating, and makes my skin more balanced throughout the day.” —Jenna Rosenstein, beauty director
“I have never received more compliments on a scent in my life than I have wearing this beloved fragrance in the last month. And trust me, I have tried everything. My husband said it smelled like me, ‘but even better,’ and a makeup artist told me it must ‘have pheromones’ in it based on his reaction to how I smelled. I don’t think it does—but to me, the woody, musky scent smells like my husband’s shirt after he wears it all day: warm, comforting, and inviting.” —JR
“My skin barrier wasn’t a fan of me upping my retinol frequency, so I started using this Obagi cream I’ve heard many derms rave about. Weeks later, my skin is noticeably less dry and irritated, and I’ve had less redness and flaky patches. The texture is rich but not greasy, so it works well as both a day and night moisturizer. It’s definitely a product I’ll be keeping on hand from here on out.” —Sarah Maberry, fashion and luxury commerce editor
Salt & Stone Natural Deodorant in Neroli & Shiso Leaf
“Fall might be my favorite season. Warm drinks, thick knits, crisp cool air—I love it. What I don’t love, however, is sweating under my thick knits when I enter the subway’s infamously hot confines. This deodorant, which smells like a restorative spa bottled up, has kept me nice and dry even when the train feels like a moving sauna.” —Michella Oré, fashion commerce editor
“This nourishing moisturizer is the first product I tried and loved from emerging brand Brownkind, which is dermatologist-formulated with melanated tones in mind. The hydrator uses ingredients like niacinamide, squalane, amla fruit, and cocoa extracts to boost skin glow and fortify its barrier. Plus, it doesn’t cause my combination skin to break out.” —Tiffany Dodson Davis, associate commerce beauty editor
“I’m borderline obsessed with the non-flaky formula of this eyebrow gel, and its flexible styling comb is truly game-changing. As someone who regularly deals with curly brows, using its gentle teeth to seamlessly smooth and separate unruly hairs is everything.” —TD
“This smoothing primer makes it easy to create a flawless base. It uses hyaluronic acid, shea butter, and pullulan blend to give skin a filterlike finish while helping to keep T-zone shine in check throughout the day.” —TD
“A little goes a long way with this gentle foaming cleanser, which is only one reason it’s worth the buy. It also nicely leaves my skin feeling clean without stripping it of moisture—perfect for daily and nightly use.” —TD
“I am such a stickler for my home scents being warm and wonderful, and I haven’t ever smelled anything quite like this before. It’s a clash of orange blossom, vanilla, and lemon that really permeates the whole home. It also comes in incredible chic packaging that you actually want on show. This is the Rolls-Royce of reed diffusers.” —Lynette Nylander, executive digital director

Dior Forever Skin Perfect Multiuse Foundation Stick in Shade 1N
“I was never a stick foundation girl, but this new one from Dior changed me! The shade match is unbelievable (I wear 1N), and the formula applies, blends, and wears like a dream. It doesn’t settle or get caky on my dry skin, it blurs imperfections, and because it’s heat- and humidity-resistant, it seriously lasts until the end of the day. I wear it on days I know I need my makeup to last and last, and it has never failed me.” —JR
YSE Beauty Brightening Treatment the Problem Solver
“I’m naturally skeptical of celebrity beauty brands, but this brightening treatment from Molly Sims’s recent YSE beauty line is really working wonders for me. I have hypersensitive skin that can’t tolerate even a low-grade vitamin C, but this powerful yet gentle cream has quickly helped lighten my breakout-induced dark spots while simultaneously soothing and hydrating my complexion. It leaves behind zero greasy feeling, layers well under foundation, and a little goes a long way. After using this formula twice daily for just a week, I’ve already noticed that my skin is considerably more radiant.” —Sam Peters, senior commerce editor

Kosas Soulgazer Intensifying Gel Eyeliner in Warm Brown Matte
“Eyeliners tend to do a disappearing act on me halfway through the day, but this gel liner from Kosas does not budge. I can apply the eyeliner at 8:00 a.m., and my sketch will still be there when I get home 12 hours later. The formula is infused with hyaluronic acid, which helps it easily glide onto the eyelid, and comes with a smudger tool on the flip side of the liner, which boasts the perfect point that makes creating wing liner a breeze.” —Katie Intner, associate beauty editor
“I rarely stray from my weekly workout schedule (a rotation of reformer pilates and CorePower Yoga Sculpt), which means I also rarely stray from my hair-wash schedule—consisting of a few times a week when I do the aforementioned heated yoga class. While I sweat a lot more in a heated class, I sometimes break a light sweat in Pilates, and my hair takes the brunt of it. Enter my pre-class secret weapon: Batiste Sweat-Activated Dry Shampoo, which absorbs oil and grease while adding a light, fresh scent as soon as sweat forms. I love that I can apply it proactively instead of doing damage control after my workout, and it doesn’t feel chalky or heavy in my hair.” —KI
“Ever since I was introduced to this lip treatment during a facial at Mario Badescu, it’s become my go-to for mornings and nights. I actually can’t sleep anymore without putting it on. The thick balm is instantly hydrating, and I especially love the fresh coconut and mango flavor.” —Rosa Sanchez, senior news editor
“I’ve been looking for a subtle, non-sticky lip tint like this one for so long, and now that I found this one, I’m never letting it go. Because it’s an oil rather than a gloss, the product sinks into the lips and hydrates. The tint also blends in perfectly with my own lip color, creating a more natural hue.” —RS
“My lips always need some extra love to keep them hydrated and healthy, especially during the drying winter months. For that reason, I find myself constantly relying on this lip product from Dior. Not only does it give my lips a glossy berry pink shine, it also helps them stay hydrated all day long.” —Chelsey Sanchez, digital associate editor
“I tend to switch my blushes by season, and when fall and winter roll around, I want something deep and moody in color and warm and hydrating in feel. All these years later, Glossier’s Cloud Paint is still a winning formula for those with dry skin who want a punch of color for their cheeks. I recently bought a new shade in Storm—a deep mauve-rose—to bring warmth to my face from now through New Year’s.” —Bianca Betancourt, culture editor
“This product is a game changer for at-home blowouts. I travel to New Orleans so many times a year now, I have a regular hairstylist down there who introduced me to this curl cream from Aveda. While it can be used for natural wash-and-gos, its magic is adding just a small dollop to damp hair before blow-drying and styling—your fresh-pressed curls will keep their shape and volume for days. It’s magic.” —BB
Eadem Le Chouchou Exfoliating + Softening Peptide Lip Balm in Fig Sauce
“I naturally have very pale lips, so I gravitate toward lip products that give me that added color. Every time I wear this product, without fail, I get multiple people asking what I have on my lips, and it’s always the Eadem Le Chouchou lip balm. They knew what they were doing with the formula here, because it does exactly what it claims to do: exfoliates and softens your lips.” —Kristina Ang, social video coordinator
