"Francis Kurkdjian, Dior’s perfume creation director and the king of all gourmand scents, reinvented the house’s Rouge Trafalgar scent by amplifying the red-fruit notes. I normally stay away from fruity scents, but here, the blend of pink pepper, rose, and red fruits is sultry, not syrupy." —Jenna Rosenstein

The Dry Shampoo

K18 Biomimetic Hairscience AirWash Dry Shampoo

AirWash Dry Shampoo

Pros

Cons

"This is the best dry shampoo I have ever used to help reset my bangs when they're greasy and gross. It's a wet formula, so I like to mist a bit at the roots of my bangs and then chase it with a brush and dryer (or Dyson AirWrap) to help reset my hair. It's genuinely the only product I trust for my worst hair days." —JR

Together, we find the most compelling products from founders we respect and admire. One of my favorite makeup launches of 2024 is Danessa Myricks's Defining Neutrals Groundwork Palette. Beyond being brilliant and innovative, Danessa's kindness and generosity are unparalleled. I am always seeking time-saving simplicity in my life and this palette is makeup nirvana! It has velvety pomades and powders for eyes, brows, face, and lips. A full face all in one." —Natasha Cornstein

"It's no surprise that the brow masters at Benefit Cosmetics have done it again with their three-pronged and waterproof Mighty Fine Waterproof brow pen. The Bond Gloss

JVN Hair Revive Rapid Repair Bond Gloss

    Revive Rapid Repair Bond Gloss

"I had the distinct honor of having the founder of JVN, Johnathan Van Ness, show me the transformative power of the JVN Revive Rapid Repair Bond Gloss Shine & Damaged Hair Treatment Mask this year. I was low-key embarrassed going to have JVN do my hair because it was so overdue for color and cut. Here I am a
Sephora beauty director showing up with damaged, dull hair, but JVN embraced me nonetheless and got talking about their upcoming launch that was going to bring my hair back to life. I thought they might just be trying to make me feel better, but I was
straight-up shook when I saw the results. Here is the transformation. It creates instant shine and helps to repair bonds in just a 60-second use. Easily a favorite of 2024!" —Melinda Solares

    The Serum Foundation

Ciele Tint & Protect Medium Coverage Serum Foundation with SPF 50+

"First things first, the basic breakdown of the Ciele Tint & Protect serum foundation is that it is SPF 50+ (yes, 50!), weightless, and blends into a seamless second skin with buildable medium coverage and a natural finish. Now that we have gotten that out of the way, I can tell you my favorite thing about it: I can confidently recommend it to my fellow acneic skin and sensitive skin makeup lovers! The founder and makeup artist, Nikki DeRoest, suffered from acne and acne scarring herself and therefore formulated Ciele with the aim of acne-friendly formulas and sun protection that will not affect the performance or appearance of the makeup. She succeeded." —Solares

    The Pocket Blush

    Rhode Pocket Blush

"I have zero self-control when it comes to applying blush; my makeup routine requires no less than three blushes to create the perfect flush. While there were a lot of top contenders for my favorite blush of 2024, one stood out amongst the crowd. The Rhode Pocket Blush quickly became my favorite step in my routine. I have been waiting (as have other Rhode fans) for Hailey Bieber to release these since she teased them to me in an interview last year, and the formula exceeded my expectations.

The blushes have a silky texture that literally melts with skin with zero effort. The colors are also so wearable and gorgeous; they feel familiar and easy to use, yet weren’t already in my blush wardrobe. My favorites are Freckle, a peachy brown, for the fall and winter months, and Spicy Marg, a bright coral hue, when I have a little tan in the summer. Plus, the buttery blushes can be used on the cheek and lip, so they are the perfect blush to throw in your bag for on-the-go." —Katie Intner

    The Hydrating Body Wash

Cremo White Jasmine Amber Body Wash

    White Jasmine Amber Body Wash

"I am not very precious with my body washes, so I love a big bottle and a formula that goes a long way, and the new Cremo body washes pleasantly surprised me this year. The Italian men’s grooming company released women’s body washes that are heavenly and last for a long time. While I have other cleansers in my shower, I keep returning the brand’s White Jasmine Amber iteration, which suds up so perfectly, leaves my skin feeling baby-soft and has a scent that rivals some of my favorite luxury fragrances. The Almond Bloom scent is also delightful, which boasts creamy almond, spicy pink pepper, and soft suede." —KI

    The Vitamin C Serum

Skin by Anthos Advanced Brightening C Serum

    Credit: Skin by Anthos

"This is my absolute go-to on a daily basis. Vitamin C is known for stimulating collagen growth in patients who have sensitive skin or cannot tolerate retinol like me, and of all of the vitamin C serums out there this one is my favorite. It's super strong at 20% vitamin C but doesn't smell metallic like other vitamin C serums; instead, it has a very light citrus scent that goes away almost immediately. It also contains other heavy-hitting antioxidants like CoQ10, vitamin E, and polypeptides, and doesn't leave an orange cast like some other ones I've tried. I use two drops on my face twice a day- before moisturizer and sunscreen in the morning, and before moisturizer and other actives at bedtime." —Shirley Chi

    The Dark Spot Corrector

    La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum

    Mela B3 Serum

"For dark spots caused by sun exposure and conditions like melasma, there's nothing better over the counter right now than this awesome new product by La Roche-Posay. They've come up with a new molecule, Melasyl, which blocks pigment discoloration, so now dermatologists have another option to treat their patients who want to avoid hydroquinone. It also contains niacinamide which has calming properties. I tell my patients to use a couple of drops twice a day on their dark spots before moisturizing." —SC

"It was difficult to narrow my list down to two products, but I started thinking about what would cause me the most distress if it were to disappear from my makeup bag, things became clear. The Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder has changed how I wear my complexion. I’m a mom of two toddlers, and as much as I want to retain all my baddie essence and do a daily full glam, I just don’t have the time. I know I can quickly put this on and my skin will look flawless for the entire day, and it won’t transfer onto my baby’s face. Check my purse (I mean diaper bag) right now, and you won’t find a touch-up powder or a mirror—I promise." —Myiesha Sewell
