Although we missed Ayo Edebiri at the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, we still got a healthy dose of her inimitable red-carpet style the day before.

This weekend, The Bear star skipped the 2025 SAG Awards, instead opting to attend the 56th NAACP Image Awards, which took place the day prior. For the event, she channeled her inner Cher by wearing a glamorous halterneck gown that looked like it was pulled straight out of a ‘70s closet. Made out of molten silver chainmail, the midi dress featured a bedazzled halterneck, rhinestone embellishments, and a sleek backless design. She capped off the look with metallic Gianvito Rossi heels.

Since The Bear premiered back in 2022, Edebiri—who works with celebrity stylist Danielle Goldberg—has quickly skyrocketed as one of the best-dressed stars of the red-carpet, with some of her beloved brands include Loewe, the Row, and Bottega Veneta. She previously talked about how she approaches fashion in a 2023 interview with W Magazine.

“Instead of limiting myself or my scope, I realize how much fashion can help you tell stories, really,” she said. “As an actress, as a storyteller, that's so crucial. Being able to mold and create new stories for yourself, new journeys, it's very freeing. And being able to do it in clothes that are so carefully thought out and made and so explorative and more conceptual is very cool.

At last night’s ceremony, Edebiri was up for an award in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role as Sydney in FX’s kitchen dramedy, The Bear. The Actor ultimately went to Jean Smart.
