Despite the fact that the whole Wicked ensemble is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the 2025 SAG Awards tonight, Ariana Grande was seen walking the red carpet without her boyfriend and costar, Ethan Slater.
Grande hit the red carpet wearing a baby-pink custom Loewe dress, which was covered in decorative florals. Seems her Glinda method dressing isn’t over with quite yet. Oh, and to accessorize the look, Grande added $200,000 worth of diamonds from Jared Atelier.
But by the time she arrived, Slater had already walked the carpet—over an hour prior, in fact. So, the two weren’t united until they were seated inside. He went classic in a black tuxedo with a matching bowtie.
Although it may seem peculiar that the two walked the carpet separately, Slater might have been giving Grande her moment to shine, without the attention surrounding their relationship dimming her light.
Grande is nominated tonight in the category for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role.
Thanks to her performance as Glinda, Grande has received quite a lot of buzz this awards season, having recently won prizes at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the Hollywood Critics Association, the Satellite Awards, and the Dorian Awards. She is also currently nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Slater gushed about Grande’s Oscar nomination to Us Weekly, saying, “I’m unbelievably proud of her. She worked so hard. She and Cynthia [Erivo] worked so unbelievably hard to not only make this movie and be the best versions of Glinda and Elphaba, but to promote it. They’re incredible. I’m unendingly proud.”
