Leighton Meester and Adam Brody had an elegant date night at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The low-key couple arrived in sleek, earthy looks. Meester was fantastic in a strapless, embroidered olive-green gown with an intricate cutout design involving floral motifs, beehive-inspired shapes, a scalloped neckline, and sequins as accents.
The Gossip Girl star wore an airy sash in the same green shade around her neck that fell all the way to the carpet and trailed behind her in a long train. Her earlobes sparked with white pearl earrings with little diamonds from Mikimoto, completing the ensemble. And in an unexpected beauty twist, she debuted reddish hair, which was styled in a wavy ’do with a deep side part and coordinated with her coral eyeshadow and matching lip.
Meester walked the red carpet arm in arm with her husband, who looked dapper as ever in a chocolate-brown suit with black accents, from Prada. He wore it with a crisp white dress shirt, a sleek black tie adorned with a silver clip, and burgundy leather loafers worn with black socks.
The OC alum is nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series category for his performance in the hit rom-com series Nobody Wants This, which he stars in with longtime friend Kristen Bell (and which Meester is set to guest-star in next season.) Brody is up against some other beloved stars for the award: Martin Short (Only Murders in the Building), Harrison Ford (Shrinking), Jeremy Allen White (The Bear), and Ted Danson (A Man on the Inside).
