Demi Moore is a true Hollywood star at the 97th Academy Awards. The actor has arrived at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre for a very special evening: her first Oscars night as a nominee.

She looked incredible in a shimmery silver gown from Armani Prive with a plunging neckline. The dress shone with the light as she walked the red carpet, and the actor wore it with dangly diamond earrings and a matching serpent-shaped cuff bracelet. Moore’s inky-black hair was down in a silky, wavy ’do.

“I’ve been doing this a long time, like over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor,” Moore said in her Golden Globes acceptance speech this January.

“Thirty years ago, I had a producer tell me that I was a popcorn actress, and at that time, I made that mean that this [award] wasn’t something that I was allowed to have,” she said. “[It meant] that I could do movies that were successful and that made a lot of money but that I couldn’t be acknowledged, and I believed that. That corroded me over time, to the point where I thought a few years ago that maybe this was it, maybe I was complete, maybe I had already done what I was supposed to do.”

She added that finally getting recognized with an award felt like a much-needed reminder “that I do belong.”

A popcorn actress could never.
