Taylor Swift did not make the 97th Academy Awards shimmer with her presence tonight.
The “Lover” singer has made a few starry appearances this year. To the Grammy Awards, she wore a ravishing red Vivienne Westwood minidress with a corset bodice, one shoulder strap, and an asymmetric skirt. She added a pop of romance with a sexy red garter chain with a little “T” as a nod to beau Travis Kelce.
Swift also notably attended the LIX Super Bowl wearing a white tank, bedazzled denim shorts, a Kansas City Chiefs–red box bag in his honor, and the same red chain with the letter “T”—for Travis—that she wore around her thigh at the Grammys. She had on her signature bright-red lip to match, as well as plenty of diamond and ruby jewelry—$60,000 worth in jewelry, in fact.
While no awards ceremony would keep Swift out, the singer is not nominated tonight, so it makes sense that she skipped the event. However, she could have delighted us by joining the A-list presenters or the fun group of performers, which includes Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Doja Cat, Lisa, Queen Latifah, and Raye.
Swift recently wrapped up her Eras Tour, so it certainly makes sense that she’s laying low and not jumping back onto the stage just yet.
