There's no escaping the fact that Noughties trends are creeping back into our wardrobes. On familiar soil, the Princess of Wales embraced the return of the controversial baker boy hat, while stateside, Hailey Bieber has given her seal of approval to another of the decade's most divisive pieces.
The model stepped out for dinner in West Hollywood wearing a neat neutral ensemble that included a pair of slimline black capri trousers. The cropped pant style proved a hit in the Noughties, often taking the form of pocket-laden cargos and denim turn-ups, as well as the more contentious harem-silhouette.
Bieber opted for a sleeker approach, styling hers with a plain white vest top, a pair of thin knotted heeled sandals and Saint Laurent's Y Tote bag in black leather.
Another notable piece in her ensemble came — somewhat surprisingly — from a high-street brand. Continuing to show her loyalty to the trench coat, a heritage style Bieber has championed in her street style of late, the model opted for an affordable piece from Mango cut with an oversized silhouette.
It seems the Rhode founder has found her go-to outfit formula for spring; she opted for a different iteration of the look last month, switching out her capri pants for a pair of tailored trousers, with a striped Breton t-shirt in lieu of a white tank top. Her accessories stayed much the same, opting for a black leather clutch bag and a pair of sleek Nineties sunglasses, with a pair of reliable black heels to finish.
If you find yourself stuck in an outfit rut, Bieber's simple yet versatile look can put even the most overlooked pieces in your wardrobe to work. For more seasonal inspiration, look to our edit of the best spring outfits here.
