You can always count on Anne Hathaway to nail the dress code assignment down to a T.
Ahead of the Met Gala, The Devil Wears Prada alum got into theme early by slipping into a Versace power suit for an event in New York City. Much like this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” Hathaway's outfit looked tailored to perfection and incredibly chic as she attended the Moda Operandi’s pre-Met Gala festivities.
The first Monday in May this year is all about giving menswear a personal spin, which is exactly what the actor did with her black oversized suit jacket with structured shoulders and tapered dress pants that hit right at her ankles. Her jacket gave some extra flair with its embellished signature gold brand hardware on the pocket and embroidered white logo tab at her wrist.
She styled her black set with a white button-up shirt underneath that was tucked into her pants. The formal look was made a bit more casual chic by the undoing of the first couple buttons up top.
For her footwear, she went for a pair of strappy black Versace sandal heels that featured a gold “V” hardware at the front. The bold metallic was further peppered into her style with the addition of small gold hoop earring and a chainmail clutch with round handle.
Finally, she topped off her cool appearance with a pair of oversized black sunglasses that drew eyes to her glossy pink lip and loosely styled wavy hair.
