Need some shopping inspiration? In Lucky 13, fashion tastemakers share the 13 items they’re loving so much, they’d hit “Add to Cart” twice.
“I am quite an analog person, so I find inspiration in a lot of old references,” says Georgiana Huddart. “Making mood boards is my way of really getting into a zone when we are thinking about new collections or categories.”
As cofounder and creative director of Hunza G—the brand behind the iconic cutout dress worn by Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman and one-size seersucker swimwear that actually lives up to the name—Huddart has been credited with hewing to the brand’s DNA whilst infusing trend-forward designs with modern-day appeal. You can still feel the electricity buzzing through Hunza G’s best-selling bikinis and one-pieces, thanks to their crinkly fabric and flashy colorways, yet slightly more subdued offerings like crisp poplin shirts and minimalist bucket hats are perfected and ready to balance it all out.
As for Huddart’s personal style, utility comes first. “I wear Helmut Lang jeans, Alaïa pumps and Flore Flore tank tops. I hate not being functional—I am also incredibly tall, so I don’t like wearing anything that draws loads of attention to me in the day, which must be a slight hang-up from being a six-foot-three-inch 13-year-old!”
One thing you won’t catch Huddart wearing regardless of the weather: flip-flops. “I am not a sandal person, I always wear shoes, and I wear a lot of black in the summer … which doesn’t sound very summery!”
Below, Huddart shares the items she not only wears but would also purchase again in a heartbeat.
1.
“I don’t find leather too hot to wear in the summer, and think it looks really chic if it’s lightweight and worn over a white tank top.”
2
“I have an amazing Christopher Esber dress which is sheer but covered in rhinestones—I love it. For daytime, a mini black halter dress from Stud, which is the best shape ever.”
3.
“Black silk wide-leg trousers or Helmut Lang cargo pants—they look great with heels or trainers.”
4.
“These sunglasses are timeless and quite ’90s. They look great with tank tops and shirts for the day, but I have also worn them with a glitter ball gown, as well as naked dresses. Versatile!”
5.
“These are the perfect heel height for me, being six-foot-three, and they are very trend-led: black, classic ’90s strap sandal. I have worn them for 10 hours and been super comfy, which is the sign of a shoe you can have loads of fun in.”
6.
“These are just cozy and comfy—only ever worn with pajamas or a tracksuit at home.”
7.
“I grew up in the ’90s, and this was the bag that Paris and Nicole always had, so I have a teenage obsession, but the large version is really chic and amazing to travel with. It is big enough to use as a laptop bag, great for having everything fit in it while still feeling cool.”
8.
“This bag is my favorite. It is quite small, so I never use it for going to work, just for evenings and holidays.”
9, 10 & 11.
“All of the above are the things I can’t live without when it comes to glowing and hydrated skin. They come everywhere with me.”
12.
“An amazing ceramic plate that looks like it has oyster shells on it. It was made by the artist Joe Sweeney and is always on our kitchen table.”
13.
“I am a massive repeat purchaser and a creature of habit, so if I find something I like, I repurchase it in different colors. I just discovered the Mansur Gavriel Dream ballet flats and have them in three different colors and fabrics.”
