BAZAAR.com understands per a Buckingham Palace source that Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Prince William have directed their teams to work together "at pace" with governments and the Sussex household to find workable solutions to Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's plans to step back from their roles as senior royals. Their efforts are expected to take days not weeks.
Harry and Meghan announced the news yesterday with an unexpected statement saying they intend to scale back their roles as royals and "work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen." They also shared that they plan to split their time between North America and the United Kingdom for the sake of their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.
