By now, royals fans are probably well acquainted with the Princess of Wales’s polished wardrobe, which often invokes the likes of Alexander McQueen coatdresses, Gianvito Rossi pumps, and—as of late—a perfectly tailored suit. Still, Princess Kate is just as capable of pulling off a laid-back outfit as she is of debuting a luxe ensemble from her sartorial arsenal.
Proving this point, Kate made a casual appearance in Scotland today, where she coordinated with Prince William in earthy green outfits. Kate appropriately embraced one of this season’s biggest outerwear trends with a military-green quilted jacket. The royal’s jacket hails from Burberry and features the brand’s iconic tan-and-black plaid pattern. She finished off the cozy look with a black knit turtleneck, black bootcut jeans from Mother, a pair of brown leather Chelsea boots from Reiss, and gold hoop earrings with a tiny garnet charm from Spells of Love.
Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales coordinated with his wife in a dark green hooded jacket layered over a light blue button-up. He additionally wore dark blue trousers and a pair of brown lace-up boots.
Both William and Kate also each wore a red poppy pin on their jackets, a symbol that has been used by the royal family since 1921 to honor military personnel who lost their lives in war.
During today’s outing, William and Kate—who are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay when in Scotland—made a visit to charity organization Outfit Moray, which provides outdoor learning and adventure services for youths.
