The word “casual” doesn’t seem to be in Dua Lipa’s fashion vocabulary. Even when she’s in a laid-back T-shirt—like the one she wore last month while out at a bar with boyfriend Callum Turner—she somehow makes it look like the chicest outfit ever.
For their most recent outing in New York City, the singer proved her styling motto might just be that every street is a runway if you try hard enough.
Wearing a halter leather mini dress, Lipa leaned all the way into her edgy nighttime look. She paired the dress with calf-length leather boots and tucked a matching black clutch under her arm. Her glam looked equally as moto chic as she styled her hair into a high ponytail and wore soft feathered brows, a rosy blush, and bronzy glow to round it out.
As for Turner, he played the perfect foil to Lipa’s polished edge (what are boyfriends for?). He wore a white striped button-down left open over a graphic tee, with baggy olive pants and classic white Nike sneakers.
Their date night comes just ahead of Monday’s Met Gala, which would mark the couple’s first as a duo. While Lipa is a regular on the steps—she even served as a co-chair in 2023—Turner has yet to make his Met debut.
After all, it wouldn’t be a bad place to hard-launch their rumored engagement. Back in January, speculation swirled after Lipa was spotted with a massive diamond ring on that finger. Neither she nor Turner has confirmed the news, but in February, she hinted at the news with a selfie that prominently featured the sparkler. Since then, she’s been wearing the same ring on her left hand—including during this most recent date night.
