The queen of Spain is reviving a beloved springtime staple: the white maxi skirt.
The wardrobe classic has been repped by the likes of Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lawrence, Eva Longoria, and Jennifer Lopez. And now, it’s getting the Queen Letizia’s stamp of approval.
On Sunday, Letizia stepped out for a day of engagements in Granada while in the dreamiest pleated skirt from Spanish designer Adolfo Dominguez. The breezy piece featured subtle bright-red stripes between pleats, and flowed in the wind as she walked.
With it, Letizia wore an easy watermelon-red cashmere sweater that she scrunched up at the wrists. She tucked the cozy top into her skirt and finished her vibrant look with another spring-appropriate piece: the slingback heel. Hers were pointy leather shoes in a chic, sandy hue.
For a final touch of joy, the monarch accessorized with dangly earrings made up of colorful gems—in green, lavender, purple and yellow—and put on her signature maroon smoky eye and glossy berry lip.

Letizia wowed in her spring look at the Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) at the University of Granada. She sat in for a presentation on the interaction and communication between the different body systems.
